How to Recover Your Blockchain Account Password

Easily Recover Your Blockchain Account Password in Just 7 Steps

As a human being, it is completely normal to forget things, and passwords are one of the most common things to forget. So, don’t worry! Here, we have provided simple and easy steps to recover your Blockchain account password in 2023. Let’s begin by reading the step-by-step process.

Step 1: Locate the Blockchain Account Recovery Page

The first step in the password recovery process is to visit the Blockchain account password recover page. You can get to this page from the Blockchain login screen by clicking on the “Need Help?” link and then selecting “Reset Password.”

Step 2: Enter Your Wallet Identifier

Your Wallet Identifier is how Blockchain knows which wallet you’re trying to access. This is usually the email address you used when creating your account. Enter your Wallet Identifier, then click “Continue.” If you are unable to find this option, simply click on “Submit a Request“.

Step 3: Check Your Email

Blockchain will send an email to the address associated with your Wallet Identifier. This email contains a password recovery link. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folders.

Step 4: Click the Recovery Link

Open the password recovery email and click the recovery link. This will bring you back to the Blockchain website, where you can reset your password.

Step 5: Choose a New Password

Here is where you’ll choose your new password. Blockchain recommends creating a strong password that’s unique to your Blockchain wallet. Including upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters can help make a password more secure. Once you’ve chosen a new password, enter it and then confirm it by entering it again in the second field.

Step 6: Recovery Phrase

After setting your new password you must input your 12-word recovery phrase. This phrase was given to you when you initially set up your wallet. The recovery phrase confirms your ownership of the wallet and is a crucial security measure.

Step 7: Log in with Your New Password

Once your password has been successfully reset, you can now log back into your Blockchain wallet using your new password.

Remember, in the digital world, security should be your top priority. Always use unique passwords for all of your accounts and consider using a password management tool to keep track of them. If you can, enable two-factor authentication on your accounts for an extra layer of security.

Please note that this post is for educational purposes only and always follows the official guidelines stated by the Blockchain website.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Blockchain Wallet Identifier?

A Wallet Identifier, also known as a Wallet ID, is a unique string of characters used as an identifier for your Blockchain wallet. It’s often associated with your email address. This ID is crucial for logging into your wallet and is necessary for password recovery.

What can I do if I don’t remember my Wallet Identifier?

If you’re uncertain about your Wallet Identifier, you can find it in the welcome email sent to you when you first created your Blockchain wallet. You can also request it directly on the login page of blockchain.com by clicking the ‘Need some help?’ link and then clicking ‘Find Wallet ID’. An email will be sent to you with your Wallet ID.

What if I’ve lost my 12-word recovery phrase?

The 12-word recovery phrase, also known as a ‘backup phrase’, is an essential security measure and is required to restore access to your Blockchain wallet, especially when trying to reset your password. If you lose this phrase, unfortunately, you will not be able to recover your wallet or its content. This emphasizes the importance of properly storing and protecting this backup phase when it is initially provided. Blockchain does not store this phrase and cannot help retrieve it.
